About
As an antidote to all of the horrible crap thrown around as “reality”, this blog is dedicated to the recognition and pursuit of inspiration. By demonstrating a healthy, productive attitude, I believe I can be a stable source of inspiration and goodness, because ultimately, it is up to me to reflect a desire for the possibility of peace and common ground. I believe in cultivating focus and vision in order to create the success I, my family and my community deserves. After you read this blog, it’s my hope that you come away inspired and encouraged to live your life passionately!
I’m a 43-year-old wife, mother, artist, writer, volunteer, speaker, and occasional expatriate. Originally from the central valley of California, I have moved more times than I can accurately count (but somewhere around 18) including to Mexico and Brasil twice. I’ve been happily married (yes, really) to my husband for 12 years and we have one, marvelous 11 year old son. We’re currently settled into SouthEast Michigan in the small town of Ortonville. We really love it here and plan on staying as long as we can!

In between doing laundry, dishes and floors, I’ve written a book about an analogy I wrote a couple of years ago called “You’re the Boat” charting a course toward a life worth looking forward to. Everything on the Boat stands for a different part of your life. For instance, the sail is your Soul, the mast is your Strength and the ships wheel is your Heart, just to name a few. The pages are written and now I’m trying to find a graphic designer to help me build it, so that I can publish it. (If you know of someone who can help, please contact me!) It should be ready for purchase within the next couple of months. I’m looking forward to promoting it and sharing it with people through-out Michigan. If you’re interested in having me come talk to your group, please contact me at pambelding at gmail dot com.
I’m also helping to host the Occupy Ortonville group. You can find out more at our website here http://occupyortonville.weebly.com/.
I’m writing this book and hosting Occupy Ortonville because I want to have a lasting positive influence. Instead of waiting around for someone else to fix the problems in our country, I’m using my energy and experiences to inspire people. How I do that changes day to day and person to person. I don’t have to know how everything is going to work out. I just focus on doing my best and trust that that is enough.
‘Because faith in yourself is the strongest magic there is.’
As the promotions chair, I work with my local DDA . Along with a bunch of other dedicated volunteers, we help bring people and events like Christmas in the Village, CreekFest and the BB&E farmers market into downtown in order to help stimulate business and give people something wonderful to look forward to. If you’re on FaceBook, check out the BB&E Fan page., the CreekFest page as well as the Downtown Ortonville page. Click like to become a fan!
“I believe we become the stimulus we need when we speak well and often of the people, opportunities and events within our community.”
I’m also working as the local account representative for the Welcome Wagon. I took this job because I believe we share the same mission “To help people find their way.” This job is enabling me to help stimulate the economy and encourage people and business to reach out and promote one another. So far, I really love it!!

And because they are stunningly beautiful, inspirational and cool, I sell Tibetan prayer flags made by a guy from California who lived in Tibet for years. I have them hanging in my house all year round and I sell them, (along with the Magic Wands and Handbooks) at the Beats, Beets & Eats Farmers Market during the summer in Ortonville.
I also support the Department of Peace, a non-partisan campaign designed to organized and implement non-violent solutions domestically and abroad. You can find out more at thepeacealliance.org .
My highest intention is to have a lasting positive influence.
I have been known to break into song, bang my head and skip through parking lots. My favorite color is pink, my favorite number is 3 and I walk 4 miles a day (every day no matter the weather) with my chocolate lab, Tootsie Roll.
