To have a lasting positive influence.

Rooted

The Inspirational word for this week is Rooted.

Rooted (adjective) firmly implanted, established, deeply supported.

tree-rootsTrees (and people) need strong, deep roots. Roots are a stable anchor to the ground as well as a supply for nourishment to the body.

It’s only by being strongly rooted that we are  able to become more confident in who we are and where we are growing.

Although I can’t find it now, there was a quote on FaceBook over the weekend that read something like “Storms are Gods way of making your roots grow deeper” or something like that.

It made me think about my post last week about Humility.  After a ‘friend’ made an unsolicited comment about something I said to someone else, (that would be the ‘Storm’ part) I felt compelled to write about why I write this blog. Her comment inspired me to dig down deep inside myself and look at the root of why I write. I want to help make a positive difference. The idea that I can (make a positive difference) comes from the Source of my energy. The Source of all energy. I feel supported to write this because the Source gives me the power to do it. That doesn’t mean I always know what I should say. It just means that I can. How I do it is up to me. That’s what Free Will is all about!!

So every week I reach out to you, my friendly blog reader,  and with the power of the Source nourishing andhealthy-lady supporting me, I do the very best I can to give you something that reminds you of the Source within you. Because you’ve got roots too!! They’ll support you and feed you, when you let them. You don’t have to know everything right now, but you do have to be open and willing to accept help.

Take a moment to breathe…….relax……..and allow the Source to fill you up with everything that makes you a better YOU as your roots hold you and support you. You’ll become stronger and more confident the more often you do this. You can’t not.  :)

So, when the storms come, (because they will), try to remember to appreciate them for what they bring….a fresh perspective, an opportunity to connect to the Source of all creation and a chance to let go of everything that doesn’t serve you.

“Adversity is like a strong wind. It tears away from us all but the things that cannot be torn, so that we see ourselves as we really are.” Thomas Golden

I hope you’ve enjoyed this, my friendly blog reader!

Please tell me what you think in the comments below!

Have a wonderful week and I’ll be back on Monday with the Inspirational song of the week.

xoxo

You are so amazing honey! That was REALLY well said. BTW I got your call on Sunday. I was in the shower and then took mom and the girls out to lunch and shopping. I was exhausted! Worked Monday, and then had a huge “storm” the last couple days. We’re thinking about flying out in June cuz of my “situation” which is still not resolved!!!! I hate major decisions where someone is going to end up disappointed!!! I HATE it when the decision comes down to my weaknesses!!!!!!!! Ahhh! Ok.. I feel better…kinda. Anyway darlin I’ll give you a call.
    Love you! Xoxo
