Reveal
Today is Monday which means it’s time for the Inspirational word of the week.
Reveal (verb) 1. to make known, divulge 2.exhibit, display (noun) 1. an act of revealing, disclosure 2. the edge of a window.
So, now that the elections are over…..what did all of the hustle and bustle of the past few months reveal?
Well, the good news in Ortonville is that my friends Debbie Baker and Liz Waters won seats on the Village Board! These two ladies are active members of the Downtown Development Authority (DDA). In fact, Liz (below with her adorable family) owns her own business Trinity Photography and
is the Chairperson of CreekFest. Debbie (on the right) 
is not only the Market Manager for the Beets, Beats & Eats farmers market, she also serves on the DDA Board, the Cub Scout Board and owns her own commercial cleaning business. As a DDA board member and promotions chair, I have been lucky enough to work with these ladies over the past few years. I believe they’re both a tremendous credit to our community and will lend positive energies to the Village Board! xoxo
I know there are a lot of people feeling dismayed and worried about the problems our country faces.
I’m not saying there aren’t problems.
I am saying that if we only look at the problems, that’s all we can expect to see.
I want to focus my energy on recognizing the solutions to those problems.
I believe we become the stimulus we need when we speak well and often of the people, opportunities and events within our community.
Having people of vision like Liz and Debbie in my community gives me hope!
They both want to have a lasting positive influence and they’re willing to put in their time to make it happen. In other words, they both exhibit progress and cooperation! Now, there’s a solution!!
I hope, my friendly blog reader, that you’re able to see the opportunities buried within the challenges wherever you are.
It may not be easy, but it sure beats banging your head against a wall.
